for younger kids, skiing. I learned to ski at 3 and continued for 10 years. I snowboard now, but I’m glad that I learned to ski first. (even if it’s completely different.) I find skiing to be a lot safer, and it’s fun for the little ones. as for the gloves/mittens, find the warmest, most comfortable pair. I personally like gloves better because it’s easier to put equipment on/off. try ski shops like buckmans or pinnacle, they always have warm gloves and mittens.

Snowboarding is much easier to me and I’d say gloves….you can get both in the Snowboarding section of Shopallstoresonline.com if you’re in the market.

Mittens with liners, they are cool, warm and trendy for snowboarding, gloves for skiing, for use of the poles

I would say skiing – depending on the age. Maybe between 4 and 8 skiing would be better.

Mittens are much better – keeps their fingers warmer. If you have good mitts, you can even forgo the liners, depending on the temperature.

If they are super young I would say skiing just because it is a lot easier the first few days than snowboarding. Also gloves if they are skiing so they can hold the poles. If they are like 7 or older I would suggest snowboarding because in my opinion it is way funner. Also I would suggest mittens with glove liners for snowboarding. I am a fan of those!!

mittens are better because they keep all fingers warm. Gloves separate the fingers causing them to freeze quicker causing frostbite. However if the gloves are lined make sure they are warm. As far as either skiing or snowboarding if you are a father can determine. Ask them what sport they would like.
